About
NHEI facilitates and promotes:
- national and transnational cooperation between educational institutions, social and business entities, to co-develop and enable quality learning traineeships, job shadow and training mobilities in an intercultural setting.
- competitiveness and readiness of students to enter the Italian job market
- strengthening of academic teaching and administrative skills
- European mobility, intercultural dialogue, social entrepreneurship, and active citizenship.
NHEI is coordinated by Mine Vaganti NGO that designed and initiated the ‘NHEI project’, aimed to develop solutions and support the employment of young graduates – by investing in education and training, in order to help them acquire and develop both transversal and occupational skills which are the key elements for strengthening competitiveness. At the same time, it aims to improve the competencies of teachers and staff members of the partners’ University. Improving their skills, after all, means improving the quality of the education and services delivered to students and increasing opportunities of collaboration within different European universities. We believe that this initiative could promote European citizenship and values as equality, tolerance and acceptance and help to develop and improve the European shared culture.
The NHEI consortium originated from a Key Action 1 call for proposals and since 2014 as entity is co-funded by the Erasmus + programme. NHEI “National Higher Education Consortium” is accredited since 2014, accreditation then renewed in 2017 (2017-1-IT02-KA108-036100) until 2020 and from 2021 till 2027 (2021-1-IT02-KA130-HED-000008081).
